George Soros, a Hungarian-born Jew, who survived the Nazi “Final Solution”, who speaks multiple languages fluently, one of them is Esperanto from birth, who immigrated to a United States filled with Nazi supporters in power, who despite all this achieved wealth and became a philanthropist with his money – still believing in la espero, “The Hope,” of a world bridged in common peace and decency.
Grassley is nothing but an old racist, misogynist, white American man on the wrong side of history, speaking only one language, and trying to force the people of the United States to cling to an American white supremacist age that is now long gone. Endless Jewish bickering! Don’t really care what opinions the political religion of Israel has, just like I care not for the views of the political religion rising to power in the United States. … Is a Jew defined by religion and, specifically, a religious movement within Judaism? Or is the Jewish religion defined by the Jews who created our specifically ethno-nationalistic religion? I say “yes!” And, that Jews, from secular to religious, are defined by history and our present communities. This does not change, whether you call a building a “synagogue” or not. Next!

Rabbi David Lau, Israel’s Ashkenazi chief rabbi, came under fire on Sunday for refusing to acknowledge in a newspaper interview that the massacre in Pittsburgh was carried out in a synagogue. The country’s ultra-Orthodox newspapers, in reporting on the event, have also refused to acknowledge that it took place in a Jewish house of prayer because Tree of Life is a Conservative congregation, and they do not recognize the non-Orthodox movements.
The Tree of Life synagogue is not a “synagogue”? Is this the message that political Rabbi David Lau really wants to send to the families tragically victimized by yesterday’s anti-Semitic mass shooting – in a synagogue?! May all Jews who are murdered for who we are, a people, be always remembered! Preferably, in a bit of reverence over the historic impact and importance of this American political tragedy.
