Tu BiShvat (ט״ו בשבט), the Indigenous Judean ראש השנה לאילנות (“New Year of the Trees)! ONLY the land of ISRAEL has four (4) “New Years” in our Jewish lunar-solar calendar! No Arab nor European has ever celebrated yearly for 3,000+ years the New Year of Trees. Especially, not upon the land of Israel (known as Judea, Samaria, and Jordan – or – “Palestine” today)!
All Jewish festivals are tied to our land of Israel. There cannot be a Jewish festival in this world without our direct connection to our Jewish ancestral land! Every year, in both Israel and in the worldwide Diasporas, Jews plant trees on the land that we live upon and celebrate the centered importance of land for nefesh life (“creature life”) upon this planet, Earth. Without trees, especially those that are seed bearing (food, nourishment), there is NO animal life on planet Earth. This is why everywhere in Israel that Jews have sovereignty upon our land, there are growing forests of green trees (that “Palestinian” Arabs try to burn down, in protest of Jewish self-sovereignty upon our land of Israel)!
Jews are the vassaled people of the Levant land’s god-King, YHWH. We cannot abandon our Jewish *obligations* to the land of Israel and to the people of Israel! This is why – *to this very day* – we Jews speak, read, and write our Canaanite Hebrew language, retain our Indigenous Judean halachot, perform our life-informing ethno-religious rituals, and plant trees upon the land. Especially, upon the land of Israel and, especially, on Tu Bishevat!

This is one of my favorite daily chants. It is a poem from our siddur (Jewish book of chants). The word “adonai” is used as an honorific substitute for the unpronounceable ha’Shem name. It is a poem of recognition of our human animal place upon the land, our lack of deity-like power to fully control it, and our need to be thankful for the momentary breath of life within us. (More follows about the backstory to this poem afterwards.)
My god, the breath that you gave in me is pure. You created her, you formed her, you made her live in me. And you watch over her inside me, and you intend to take her from me (and restore her in me future to come).
All time that the breath is within me, I give thanks to your face, my lord god and god of my ancestors. (You that is the) power of all the events, ruler of all the creatures, master (of) all the breaths. Blessed are you lord, giving breath to the dead (to the inanimate forms, planetary nefesh).

It is the origin story of the Jewish people that YHWH (a child god of El and ruler of the Levant) personally molded all Levantine people from the topsoil of the Levant (adam, “human,” from adamah, “humus”) with the first human to work the garden, and directly breathed the nashama (the “breath/spirit of life”) into our dead animal forms – thus turning Levant humans into nefesh chayah (into “living creatures”). From this first breath of life breathed into the human, every human formed takes this first breath of life (once birthed) and exercises the breath of life. Because, the neshamah is ha’Shem’s breath, the Torah origin stories teach that this breath of life will be removed from every nefesh at ha’Shem’s direction (no favorites, no exceptions!).
This Levantine creation story echos in parallel with the Six Days of creation cosmology story that directly preceded it in Torah. In the Six Days origin story, the ru’ach elohim (the “wind/spirit of Elohim” – in more precise words, the breaths of the Canaanite pantheon of the “children of El and Asherah”) hovers upon the chaotic primordial soup of matter and, by utterance of words alone, identifiable orderly objects are formed. The Canaanite Hebrew word for both the mental “word” and the objective “thing” is davar, meaning that they are literally the same. Thus, by the breath alone, we exist as nefesh chayah, as “living creatures.” And only because of the momentary breath within us, teaches the Torah of the Jewish people. Hence, the need to wrestle with Torah mitzvot/halachot for the sake of all life within the Canaan Israel Levant.
Note: Though Judaism, the ethno-religion of the Canaanite people of Judah, began as polytheism, we evolved into an animistic henotheistic ethno-religious people by the 2nd Temple period. It would only be from the Siddur-embracing Judaism period forward (12th c. CE onward) that most Jews took on a monotheistic perception about ha’Shem, now understood as the Ein Sof (the singular unknowable “source of all existence”).

Speaking up to the Colonial Arab-European powers that seek desperately to define the Jewish people for us, so they can return us back to colonized dhimmi/ghettoed sub-class status, under their supremacist rule for Colonial Allah-Christ-Marx dominionism upon all Indigenous Peoples’ lands. So long as the Jewish people argue with the historic antisemitic, all things Jewish appropriating, Arabs-Europeans for Allah-Christ-Marx dominionism upon the land of Israel under their narratives for us, we will never end the first Colonial geography-based racism of Christianity-Islam! There is *NO* equivalency between 15 million Jews worldwide, just trying to retain our Indigenous Judean way of life – our Canaanite Hebrew, our Indigenous Judean halachot and seasonal rituals, and our need for sovereignty upon our ancestral land – and 5.8 billion Christians, Muslims, and Marxists who insist that we Jews allow non-Jews supremacist access and control of our Indigenous Judean land! *NO*! There is the tree that most people see. Then, there is the forest that Indigenous People see!
Do not just look at the tree. Look at the forest surrounding the tree. The tree has its stories. Why? Because the tree is growing in the forest. The tree knows her forest. This is the Judaism that I teach daily!
Hacham Yosef Faur is absolutely wrong. But, in his defense, he was a mythologist, not a scientist. Now, with this said, the writing of Bereshit beat every post-Torah cosmologist to the punch. They’ve only been modifying this Torah model of the universe, ever since, with new observed data for increased understanding. What does Bereshit teach? The breath of Elohim existed upon the chaotic primordial soup of an unformed earth, and with the power of spoken word/thought transformed this chaos within Éin Sof’s -self into human recognizable order. I say “human,” because this creature of Elohim’s possesses the same creative power of spoken word/thought which leads to transforming things, just in more limited form. So, as the Astrophysics model tries to explain, from out of Elohim expanded life, and from out of humans further manipulation of this body of Ein Sof.

The Jewish people have *never* needed to prove the historicity of our Torah stories, because they are *our* Jewish origin stories which defines *us* as a Jewish people. Even if it were proven scientifically that none of our Jewish stories have any kind of historical reality (even though the opposite is actually the truth) and even if it were scientifically proven that our “G-d,” ha’Shem, is purely a figment of our Jewish people’s imagination, still yet: Ha’Shem exists and our stories about the origins of the Jewish people happened and they are still true, because our Jewish Torah in our Canaanite Hebrew language says so!
This is the essence of being an Indigenous People and of being the vassaled Jewish people of ha’Shem’s Judean-Samarian Levant. Unsurprising to many of us Indigenous Jews of Judea and Samaria, science actually confirms most of our stories about our history origins – just not in a literal word for word kind of way. Some examples:
It was our Canaanite ancestors that were enslaved for 400+ years “in Egypt,” meaning our Levant land was occupied by the Egyptian empire. We, the people of Israel, really did become a Jewish survival miracle from our foundational moment in Moab (southern half of Jordan today). The destruction of Sedom v’Amorah did actually happen by meteorite explosion in the Levant, just before the foundation of the Canaanite Israel people. We really did as a Jewish people have serious battles with our other Canaanite brothers (Moabites, Edomites, Phonecians/”Canaanites,” etc.).
Being that the Levant was the literal intersection of commerce between Egypt and Assyria/Babylon, it is no surprise that our ancestral stories posit us as being as mighty to familial neighbors as the empires surrounding us. How better to survive mentally as a Jewish people in the face of constant occupation and attempts at assimilation? We Jews are still here today – 3,000+ years later – and they are *all* extinct!
As a teacher, I have no need to defend the Jewish tree of life and its stories. For the tree itself is informed by the forest around it. Every tree in gan eyden, the “garden of Eden,” is here for a reason! התורה לא משתעלת! / the Torah does not cough! Not for the Jewish people of Canaan Israel!

Torah mi’Sinai and Torah min ha’shamayim are not the same concepts. Why the Talmud is correct that all Jewish indigenous traditions based on faithfulness to Torah are Torah mi’Sinai is because the Jewish people have never needed historical proofs for what Torah says. Torah says they happened, and Torah is our Indigenous People’s encounter with the Divine!
“Should a law that originates in some unknown manner with an encounter between God and a figure we know as Moses still be considered Torah mi-Sinai even if generations of exceptional individuals later interpreted the product of this encounter, greatly expanding upon it and refining it until the Torah takes the form as we know it today? Can something be considered Torah min ha-shamayim (Torah from heaven) in a profound sense, even if it is at the same time human and results from a lengthy historical process?”
It is non-Jews that demand that we prove the historicity of our Indigenous Judean words. Rather than do so, Jewish scientists study instead for demonstrable factual evidence for or against our mythological history in Torah. Much of our TaNaKh stories/myths are indeed based upon actual historical events of the region, so scientific studies are revealing. Our Torah is our Jewish version on these events of our Canaanite people’s ancestral memory.
*All Jews are mythologists and don’t need scientific studies.* Our Jewish stories are true, because our Torah says they’re true. And our Torah informs us as the Indigenous Judean people of the Canaan Levant about ourselves l’dor v’dor. The *only* reason for these sacred stories! This is how Torah elevates from mi’Sinai to min ha’shamayim.

I’m not a religious person but I love these two verses since they emphasize the sanctity of life.
Israel has sent rescue teams to the devastated Kurdish areas to save lives whereas Erdogan the caliph of many Muslims as well as the Turco-Arab terrorist organizations that have colonized Kurdish Afrin region and rule the area under the name of God and Islam, continue to block aid to the devastated Kurdish areas of Afrin.
However, Islamists and their media outlets continue to demonize Israel (read: Jews) and SDF (read: Kurds) saying that they don’t accept their relief, while totally ignoring the aid block by Turks and Arabs to Kurdish areas.
Also I´m wondering what happened to Arab countries like Qatar, Kuwait and other “Palestinian” organizations, why were they able to build settlements on occupied Kurdish lands but now that the people of the region need their aid, they cannot send them earthquake relief!.”

All Indigenous Peoples believe this – that life comes from a woman! There cannot be propagation of life without Chava (“life-giver”). Torah teaches that the Levant land’s god-King created an adam (“human”) from the adamah (“humus”) to work the garden that YHWH planted. This human got to name everything, but was alone! So YHWH put the human to sleep and split the human into ish (“male”) and isha (“female”). From this splitting, genders and procreation became an adam reality. Worthy of serpents who temp us humans to become knowledgeable.
From this, yeledim (“children”) are birthed into this world. Without Chava (what Aegean north Christian text appropriators call “Eve”), there is no life. In Jewish Indigenous tradition, the land’s Creator is male and the yehudi (the Jewish people) are the female, married to YHWH, in this cosmology relationship. Even our word eretz (“land, country, Earth”) is feminine in grammatical gender! Without woman, there is no life.
I could go further. If El (the Creator god) hadn’t “known” Asherah, then the 70 elohim (“child gods of El”) of our Canaanite Hebrew people would not have been born to create the earth and divide the land between them, which means that Noah’s grandchildren would not have been born to create the 70 nations upon the land. … Just saying. (This is why we Jews recite the Shema, declare YHWH as adonai and melech (lord and king), and … speak about the battle between Lilith, adam’s first wife (who did not procreate upon the land), and Chava (who we all descend from, … since the great flood upon the land to end YHWH’s curse of drought upon the land for adam v’chava discovering sex in the garden and ruining heaven with a world of human beings, who are determined to replace elohim with our ingenuity – not even the heavenly sky is safe)!
