I love Torah stories and here is a perfect reason why – *wordplays*, even across stories!

By a simple curse of the Levant land by the Levant’s god-King, YHWH, gan eyden (the “garden of eden”) planted by YHWH is transformed from a fertile crescent into a thorny desert. Thus Adam v’Chavah and all their offspring have been banished from paradise, and must now toil lifelong in sweat for their sustenance.

And by a simple promise by the Levant’s god-King, YHWH, the *fertile crescent* was restored to gan eyden -type splendor! No longer will the humans toil to the sweat of their faces for sustenance from the land. For those who didn’t quite catch this (Jews included),… between Adam and Noah, Levantine families toiled because of YHWH’s curse of the land, and their *salvation* – their נוֹחַ “rest” – can only come about by the restoration of the fertile land. The meaning of Noah is “rest” – rest from drought and rest from flood (which accompanies all droughts).
The Torah does not cough, folks! And only Noah *by name* could be the solution to both problems – drought and flood! Adam’s chet (simple sin) is paid in full, and the easily angered god-King has apologized for his short and violent temper! … This won’t be the last time, for YHWH! Introducing Avraham, who again educates YHWH…!

Why is it that Arab-European folk feel the need to come to a Jewish page wherein we are discussing *our* Jewish literatures and Muslimsplain/Christiansplain our Jewish ancestral literatures to us Jews, rather than *asking questions and learning something*?!!!
For example: “The term “Elohim” doesn’t necessarily refer to a god of any sort.” “Elohim does not mean children of El in Aramaic. The generic name El was adopted by the Hebrews after they occupied Canaan. A lot of history here. wish I had time to enlighten you😏”
Wrong. “Elohim” literally means “children of El” and is a Canaanite Hebrew reference to the pantheon of gods and goddesses – daddy-god El, mommy-god Asherah, and their 70 children-gods/goddesses. Hence, human kind was created in “our image.” Hence, YHWH’s “portion of the land” to rule over. Hence, El “allows” all nations to worship their god, only the Jewish people must devote themselves exclusively to YHWH.
Canaanite Hebrew is *NOT* neighboring Syrian Aramaic. Different language trees! The Torah was written in Canaanite Hebrew, and Jews today still speak Canaanite Hebrew. Even Jews who later spoke Aramaic wrote this neighboring language in Canaanite Hebrew lettering. Just like Yiddish, just like Ladino, just like (etc, etc, etc)….

The Jewish people, the people of Israel, became an Indigenous People of the Levant in Moab (southern Jordan today). We became an Indigenous nationality north of Moab and across all of Judea-Samaria. We speak, read, and write Canaanite Hebrew. Elohim in Canaanite Hebrew means “children of El.” Further, the 70 nations of Noah are based directly upon the 70 gods and goddesses birthed from El’s and Asherah’s union, the division of the lands by nations with their land’s god-Kings.
For example: “Tsefan Josef, well I would beg to differ that he didn’t have reproductive organs because he would have to urinate as a living human right? And God’s design for us was already thought out and finalized.” … Yikes! You don’t need reproductive organs in order to take a pee!
In our Torah stories about the Jewish people, mythological Adam had no sexual organs, until after being split into male and female by the Levant land’s god-King, YHWH! Hence, we humans cling more intimately to each other, than to “God” – a biological necessity of life. Before the splitting, Adam found no equal among the other created species – to be an equal helper in tending the garden – because all the other YHWH created species of this garden *already* had sexual gender helpmates in life!
Thus, the only reason for the creation of human genders by the splitting of adam (the human formed from the adamah, the humus, of the Levant) into two humans is to procreate and increase in numbers. Adam no gender had the *tree of life* unending time to work all the garden alone. (What are you non-Jews suggesting that Adam was doing sexually before a human female was created?!!) It requires *interpretation* placed upon the story to suggest that adam had an unnecessary gender/sexual-organ prior to the splitting of adam into two adams. The human just wanted to be like all the other gendered species of this garden that did have genders already, so YHWH complied!
“The Sons of Elohim sleeping with women and producing demigods (Genesis 6:1-4) is sandwiched between the birth of Noah and the flood. Was Noah a demigod?” … Correct! Now this is a proper Jewish thing to do – *ask questions* for learning!!
Noah, whether a demigod or not, was born for one purpose: to end YHWH’s curse of drought upon the land of the Levant, when Adam and Chavah (Eve) was expelled from YHWH’s Levant garden – by an angry YHWH god, because they chose to eat the forbidden fruit of “grown up” knowledge. How did Noah do this, save the Levantine people from Adam v’Chavah teenage “sin” that resulted in YHWH cursing the garden land with drought(1)? He saved the people of this continent by ‘he and extended family’ surviving the great flood.
Thus, humankind gets to witness the revitalization of the Levant – the “fertile crescent” – back to garden of Eden -type splendor. No more the curse of tilling a desert soil, which the generations between Adam and Noah were experiencing upon the land. YHWH made amends and made promises to the Levantine peoples. At least, so says Torah’s origin stories about the Jewish people of Canaan/Israel.

It is weird how Western minds – those influenced by Christianity and Islam – insist that monotheism is incompatible with animism! Yet, Judaism (Judea-people-ism) is the very daily recognition of this awareness! Yes, rocks have a soul. So, too, do the plants. And even fish, birds, and all animal life. They have the same soul that we humans have, according to Jewish tradition.
It is a common assumption in Western minds that “there is a universe of entities that somehow exist independently of their Creator. When did He speak? In Judaism, there is only the Storyteller and the story. This IS our Jewish Torah! For example: Why are there 70 grandsons of Noah and wife? Because there are 70 sons of gods El and Asherah.
