Correct. The Torah has never once said that a woman was created to be subservient to a man, in the original Hebrew. What it says, when correctly translated, is … she is his equal.
And YHWH Elohim said, “It is not good for the human to be alone; I will make for him a woman (ezer, “lady”) as (his) equal (ke’negdo).”
And the human called the names of all the land-animals and of the fowl of the sky, and of all the living-creatures of the field; but for human, he did not find a woman (ezer, lady) as equal (ke-negdo).
And YHWH Elohim built the ribside that he had taken from the human into a woman; and he brought her to the human. And the human said, “This one at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This one shall be called woman (isha), for from man (ish) was she taken.”
There is a parrallel occurring here between the two creation myths that are divided by the first Shabbat. In the Six Days myth, the unformed earth within “God’s” body is revealed through the creation of light and the shaping of recognizable form to this earth. After “God” takes his first Shabbat (day of rest), in the Garden of Eden myth, the woman gender is revealed through the reshaping of a portion of the gender undefined human. Thus, the human now declares that woman (isha) was taken from man (ish).

Eve was created as Adam’s עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדֹּו ʿezer ke-negdo. What is the meaning of this enigmatic phrase?

Tabúle (تبولة, Lebanese pronunciation: tah-bOO-ley) is a traditional Lebanese salad, loved by *all* Levantine folk, thus assumed to be a Jewish salad by many – but give origin credit where credit is due! Tabúle is prepared by finely chopping flat parsley, onion, tomato, and mint, and mixing together with a lemon and olive oil seasoning, and includes a small amount of bulgur (not couscous*).
* – Bulgur is cracked parboiled groats of several different wheat species, but most often created from durum wheat. Couscous is a North African dish of small steamed granules of rolled durum wheat semolina.
Whether Levantine Middle Eastern or North African in the wheat preparation, *it is טעים מאוד*! It is the “Levantine” salad of the Middle East. … And, I could eat it everyday, like I eat cilantro salsa!
