Those who are גזע geza by ghettoization, especially the חרדי heredi, often look upon other Jews as כּשר חזיר פֿיסל kosher chazer fissel and exclaim that they are גניבת דעת g’neivat da’at for being different. And they, the גזע geza, do not realize nor accept that they, the חרדי heredi specifically, are the youngest Jewish movement within our greater יַהֲדוּת Judaism. Even חילוני chiloni Judaism and השכלה haskalah Judaism are older than these family movements – families who are often Ashkenazi by insular descent and, very unfortunately (due to the exposure to the white man), racially “Ashkenormative” in nature.
This makes me wonder, what is גניבת דעת g’neivat da’at within יַהֲדוּת Judaism, as a whole? It’s not those who reject תורה מהשמיים torah min ha’shamaiyim, for sure! Nor, is it those who reject תורה מסיני that Moses is the author of Torah, our inherited redacted textual traditions. Maybe, we are (*all* communities) legitimately referring to those Christians pretending to be Jews, trying to proselytize us to their failed-messiah idolic “faith”?! I don’t know! Though, I suspicion there is truth to the latter. This deserves a special paragraph of legitimate פֿרומ-לושן frumspeak, so I insert it here, now, directly below!
kal v’chomer קל וחומר, we already know that their only השקפה hashkafah is the proselytizing of Jews to their דת גויה Gentile religion, and their חוצפה chutzpah of a השפעה hashpa’ah is found only within a book! hamevin yavin המבין יבין, calling themselves “messianic Jews,” dressing like us, acting like us, and pretending to be us – עם ישראל am yisrael, an ethno-religious people – because they think a “book” told them that they are us and, thus, they must now appropriate us and tell us that we, too, are somehow (a failed version) of them – according to their “theology,” meaning “faith” in a “true religion” (meaning, purely a religion only).
What I do know, as a יהודי חילוני non-theistic Jew fully devoted to יַהֲדוּת Judaism in all its forms, דָתִי theistic to חילוני non-theistic, is that we need to be – always and foremost – עם אחד one people/nation always! Tell me if this is not the אתני-דתי ethno-religious truth?! If there were an honest קשר kesher between us, Jews and Christians, I would be more sympathetic and give them דן לכף זכות dan l’kaf zechus. But, then, there is that unavoidable history thing, despite modern behavior and sentiment by the religiously (aka, historically) ignorant! בכיה לדורות bechiya ledorot, a reason for generational regret!!! But, back on track, lest I seem unnecessarily “divisive” in this writing to some.
I tell you now, פֿרום frum is those who speak the לשון loshn of יהודים Jews. And the הלכה למעשה halacha l’ma’aseh of חילוני chiloni to חרדי heredi is the אתנו-דת ethno-religion of יַהֲדוּת Judaism. Plain and simple, try to disagree with me on this! hakshivu הקשיבו, I’m ready for you, 🙂 ! Now,… let’s get to the real reason for my writing this post. Which is actually to ask a question to some who are reading: Those of you who are פֿרײַ frei FFB in the דתי dati and חרדי heredi sense, would you be interested in joining our קהל esnoga in creating the future of יַהֲדוּת Judaism for מדור לדור m’dor l’dor? Your דרך derech to דעת תורה da’at torah would bless us!
I believe that there is no reason why חילוני secular Jews can’t be שומע הלכה shome’a halachah, without obligation to שומר shomer and without חשש chashash of מקרב m’karev. And this is what פריי frei FFB can bring to יהדות הומניסטית humanistic Judaism, what any OTD can bring to non-theistic יהדות מוסר musar Judaism. I believe that there is more to the דרך יהודית Jewish derech, beyond the תיאיסטי theistic “G-d” and angelic beings thang, that can be secularized – and it would be a חידוש chidush to exemplify these more ethnic elements, even within חילוני chiloni communities!
