We are trained from birth by the culture we are in to see “God” as monolithic, rather than pluralistic. What do I mean? The answer is, intimately, itself a question: “What is the name of “God”?”

“God” is a generic term, not a name. So, “God” can mean *any* human imagined deity that humans collectively believe in. One’s “God” is not necessarily another’s “God,” can we all agree on this? So, it is *not* true for *all* of us that “In God We Trust.” So, to be sure of which “God” we align with, we must declare the *name* of the “God” that we *believe* in.

Christianity believes that their “God” is not YHWH god, the “G-d” of the Jews, (read the writings of the founders: John Chrysostom, Marcion of Sinope, Saint Augustine, Saint Tertullian, etc., who greatly influenced the structural nature of Christianity and future Europe). Further, they also believe that their demigod is also their “God,” just in human flesh. They have appropriated a Jewish human from Nazareth (a rabbi, teacher), and made him a substitute for the white man’s Aeneas, and made his mother Mary (not a *virgin*, despite what Christians say) as a substitute name for Aphrodite (coincidentally, not a virgin also). Jesus’s Judaism forbids this demigod worship, and demands observance of YHWH god’s demanded Torah law (read the book of Matthew closely!). Hence, why Jews and Christians will always disagree! But, back on topic.

We are trained from birth by the culture we are in to see “God” as monolithic, rather than pluralistic. What do I mean? The answer is intimately itself a question: “What is the name of your “God”?” For, there are many that rule the lives of humans – every single day! Humans that truly believe and devote their heartfelt emotions to this god, their money to this god (the institution of), and subjugate their lives to the assumed laws and authority of this god. And *all* these “God”s are ultimately human imagined, whether we like this or not, and whether we choose to believe this or not. Self-evident facts are facts, regardless our determined thoughts about these facts. Self-evident reality 101. Let’s be real, and honest!

I mean, full disclosure here, – since we got factually truthful about the Christian “God” – even the Jewish “G-d” of Torah is two “God”s in “One” – literally! Yes, the Torah presents to us two “God” concepts, as if somehow they are one: 1 – A fatherly helper “God” that has a human like body, and rides the back of armless winged angels to and from earth and heaven (heaven is within the firmament above). A “God” who is easily surprised by his creations’ actions, and given to emotional tantrums (that some humans dare(/need) to challenge and check). 2 – A dictatorial “God” that has a body so unlike anything within the heavens, on the earth, in the waters that we cannot even begin to form a proper representative shape (hence, no prostrating to formed images). A “God” so dictatorial that everything is done (by humans!) according to this “God”‘s instructed commands. A “God” who is truly fore-knowing (not “all” knowing) that he guides (mythical) historical events in such a way that “he” is *always* glorified, as a result, of history’s events.

What is consistent among Jews throughout history, both religious and secular, is the wrestling with the concept of “mitzvot.” Yes, it’s always about the *mitzvot* (not the “God” demanding it) and how to follow it! For religious Jews, fulfilling mitzvot is how we show our “love” for “G-d.” For secular Jews, wrestling with mitzvot/ethics is how we show our empathy for life. Both types of Jews struggle on how to live by a set of mitzvot, and what this mitzvot is or should be. Both are at a loss as to “why” this universe has to be this way – the way it is ever unfolding. But, by being ever based in predictable learning, we can at least try to make it less disappointing (effectively control a few things) – which feels good to humans.

How about we embrace science over mythology for a change, without rejecting the value and benefits to embracing mythology. Just a thought! I’m sure that I’m not the first to think this!!! Every Jew that comes to term with the Holocaust understands this! Every human that experiences the unavailability of “God” (without indulging in delusion of presence afterwards) understands this. … Is it time to evolve as a human species?! I hope so, for it is long overdue!!!
