At this point in Jewish history, we were devout henotheists as a people and believers in a specific form of reincarnation. The only problem is, there was no successful “messiah” and no victory over the “Beast” (occupying Rome). But, a good three year run at Indigenous Judean independence (only to be matched by the later Hushiel rebels against Arab Islam, also three years, and successfully 1948).<\/p>\n
