There is a parrallel occurring here between the two creation myths that are divided by the first Shabbat. In the Six Days myth, the unformed earth within “God’s” body is revealed through the creation of light and the shaping of recognizable form to this earth. After “God” takes his first Shabbat (day of rest), in the Garden of Eden myth, the woman gender is revealed through the reshaping of a portion of the gender undefined human.
